Synthetic and medicinal chemistry services offered by Sai include:

  • Design and synthesis of focused libraries
  • Preparation of building blocks and starting materials
  • Synthesis of reference compounds and metabolites
  • Design and synthesis of analogues to support lead generation and optimization

The Sai synthetic and medicinal chemistry teams operate in modern facilities equipped with state-of-the-art equipment used for synthesis, purification and analytical characterization of compounds.  Supported by a secure IT infrastructure, our scientists have on-line access to a wide range of chemical and scientific literature to facilitate rapid conversion of ideas to successful experiments.

Sai’s Medicinal Chemistry Team
At Sai, we ensure that each of the teams supporting the client’s medicinal chemistry are lead by a senior scientist (Associate Director or Director) who has had extensive discovery experience either in a US/EU biopharm company or track record of success in delivering compounds within a CRO context.   Regardless of the context of their experience, all of the team leaders understand the expectations as well as ability to manage critical, high-priority projects for our clients.

Sai’s Library Design and Synthesis Team
SAI has a dedicated library synthesis team to support the generation of libraries for various discovery purposes.  The team is versed in employing various state-of the-art instruments and techniques and routinely delivers chemical libraries ranging in size from 50 to 1500 compounds with varying degrees of synthetic and structural complexity.
